This year's apprentices trip
“Equipped with a helmet and miner’s lamp, you visit and enter the old mine. Suddenly, you discover a hidden room and can't believe your eyes. You will find a kind of furnished room. Apparently, someone has spent days, months or even years here.
The door closes, a bomb on the wall starts ticking and you know that you only have an hour left to escape the horror in the mine."
Apprentices trip to a mine escape room
Our apprentices trip recently took place. A very special excursion was planned as a surprise for our 12 apprentices and their 5 supervisors:
A trip to an escape room in an old training mine. Mining is part of the German culture of the Ruhr area - a region in northern Westphalia that directly borders Menden. 17 meters underground, our apprentices, divided into small teams, had to solve tasks to escape the different rooms. But see for yourself...

A beautiful day comes to an end
In the cozy charm of an old, vaulted cellar, everyone came together for dinner. There was enough time to get to know each other better and exchange experiences about the 3 different apprenticeships at VTI.
We would like to thank the organizing team around Lara Austermeier for this wonderful day!
